 *01/01/2023* *2023 NEW YEAR SERVICE* *2023 PROPHECIES* *THE YEAR OF DAVIDIC THANKSGIVING* 1. There would be blessings in the midst of turmoil. 2. God would establish us as a Goshen. There would be cities of refuge. Genesis 45:10 Genesis 46:28,29 Genesis 47:1-11 Numbers 35:6 3. God would reveal Himself as the Good Shepherd to us, Who will lead us beside still waters and green pastures. Psalms 23. The admonition is to stay very close to Him, and He will lead and guide us in troubled times. 4. Provisions are coming for God's people. Isaiah 60:6. As the Body of Christ drinks deeply of the Word of God, revelation will flow to show the directions we need to take in our lives. 5. A greater alliance of Russia/China/Iran to form as an axis power in a war. The war will go nuclear although it will not affect the whole world with its destruction. We can hardly approve of their action, yet their desperation was real. Their husbands had died and they were not likely to remarry. Their mother was also dead and they judged their father unlikely to remarry and have more children. The shameful act of incest led to the births of two sons who would later greatly trouble Israel. Lot and his family needed to be propelled from their home by physical force. *The command was clear, not to look back or linger according to Genesis 19:17* *Lot's wife disobeyed and looked back* *By implication, she was reluctant to leave. Her destruction was sudden* Nothing was left of her but a mineral heap. Jesus referred to her in His teaching on the sudden destruction that will come in the last days, "Remember Lot's wife", Jesus warned. Lot bowed himself, a term commonly used for the worship of God Genesis 22:5; 24:26 But here it describes Lot's act of reverence to special guests, in contrast to God Genesis 18:2 The angels appeared as men, and Lot greeted them as such. Lot's generous offer of hospitality may have been motivated out of kindness toward them as well as his sense of the dangers his city might hold for them. The men of Sodom were aggressive homosexuals, bent on raping innocent travelers. Under the circumstances, Lot showed great courage by inviting his guests to stay at his house under his protection.
