Elisha

2 Kings 2-6; 13:14-21

*Elisha and the rebellion of Moab II*

2 Kings 3:1-27

Elisha made no attempt to hide his distaste for Joram, whose father Ahab had encouraged so many false prophets (2 Kings 3:13). However, he had time for Jehoshaphat and agreed to consult the Lord because he was with other kings (2 Kings 3:14). He asked for a harpist to play some music to assist him. It seems that music was often associated with the prophets (1 Samuel 10:5-13). While the music was playing, Elisha heard the word of the Lord (2 Kings 3:15). The Lord was going to provide plenty of water for the army and the animals even though it was not going to rain where they were. *With the Lord nothing is impossible.*

The Lord would also give victory over Moab (2 Kings 3:16-19): all the cities and towns would fall to the Kings.
