It is an even greater encouragement to realize that the one who helps, heals and restores us is the one who created the vast numbers of the stars in the skies and gave to each its place.

Isaiah 40:25-31

Our God is great indeed, mighty in power and his understanding has no limit according to Psalms 147:5.

God has created our world so that clouds are formed, rain falls on the earth, grass and crops grow, and there is food for birds and animals as well as for people.

Psalms 147:7-9

 *01/06/2025* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* INTRODUCTION  - The creation of the earth and the near heavens  Genesis 1:1-31 The rest of the chapter is then seen as an expression on the summary of Genesis 1:1. However, it is also possible that those words outline the first step in creation, with the words *in the beginning* being equivalent to "first". The idea then would be that the first thing God did was to create the raw shell ( heaven and earth) and then for six days he filled that shell with content.  *25/06/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* INTRODUCTION  - The creation of the earth and the near heavens VII Genesis 1:1-31 The creation of living beings follows the same sequence as the material creation. On day five, God created the creatures that live in sea and sky according to Genesis 1:20-23, followed on the sixth day by animals that live on land according to Genesis 1:24-25, and finally the culmination of his creation, human beings. The privileged position of human beings is shown by the fact that our creation required a special decision, presented as if it was made at some gathering.
