CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE 

- He is near to all of us 

Acts 17:27-28

All people are equal before God, and the differences between language and cultures were part of his plan.

God’s chief aim in making these arrangements was to encourage all people to seek him according to Acts 17:27.

The altar dedicated to the UNKNOWN GOD is evidence of this desire.

And yet, God is not far from us, since *in him we live and move and have our being* according to Acts 17:28.

Then Paul quotes Athenian poets, acknowledging their work and using it as a bridge to declare the gospel truth that we are his offspring.

 *01/06/2025* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* INTRODUCTION  - The creation of the earth and the near heavens  Genesis 1:1-31 The rest of the chapter is then seen as an expression on the summary of Genesis 1:1. However, it is also possible that those words outline the first step in creation, with the words *in the beginning* being equivalent to "first". The idea then would be that the first thing God did was to create the raw shell ( heaven and earth) and then for six days he filled that shell with content. He did not create the whole universe as a finished product in one grand gesture, but worked to create it.  *25/06/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* INTRODUCTION  - The creation of the earth and the near heavens VII Genesis 1:1-31 The creation of living beings follows the same sequence as the material creation. On day five, God created the creatures that live in sea and sky according to Genesis 1:20-23, followed on the sixth day by animals that live on land according to Genesis 1:24-25, and finally the culmination of his creation, human beings. The privileged position of human beings is shown by the fact that our creation required a special decision, presented as if it was made at some gathering.
