6. Ask for forgiveness and forgive others.

Matthew 6:12

We are prone to fall into sin which damages our relationship with God and we constantly need to restore that relationship through forgiveness.

We should forgive others in the same way that we seek forgiveness from God according to Matthew 6:14-15. Those who themselves know how to forgive will be more open to forgiveness from God and others.
