Answered prayers sometimes immediately

*29/09/2024* *ANOINTING HEALING AND COMMUNION SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Genesis 4:26 Philippians 4:6-7 ANSWERED PRAYERS  2. Sometimes immediately  Isaiah 65:24 Daniel 9:21,23 The climax of the new creation is reached in Isaiah 65: 24-25. Fellowship between God and people is restored. So is the fellowship between hunters and prey wild animals and domestic animals, signalling reconciliation between humankind and nature. For Daniel, prayer was work! It should be so for us too. He prayed until there was a breakthrough. He never gave up! He continued to pray until an angel, Gabriel, brought him an answer in the form of a third vision, the scope of which gives us a glimpse of Daniel's heart for God. Interestingly, Daniel was given insight to understand the vision before it was even revealed. *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered

Answered prayers promised

*25/09/2024* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Genesis 4:26 Philippians 4:6-7 ANSWERED PRAYERS  1. Promised  Isaiah 58:9 Jeremiah 29:12 Matthew 7:7 In the future time of hope, Judah will again be able to have a normal relationship with God. They will be able to pray to the Lord and he will answer them. Such answered prayer is a sign of a good relationship between God and the people; it means that God is again listening to them and that they are again pleasing him. Psalms 6:9 1 Kings 9:3 The disciples of Jesus are given confidence to persist in prayer. *Because human beings respond positively to repeated appeals, we can be certain that the heavenly Father will answer persistent prayer* *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

*22/09/2024* *FOURTH SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6: 9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  7. Pray for spiritual leading and protection for all under your care. Matthew 6:13 We commit our futures to God when we ask for guidance away from temptation and the devices of the evil one. God does not tempt anyone, but Satan tempts as in order to cause the downfall of the followers of Christ. Put on full Armour of God. Ask for forgiveness and forgive others

*18/09/2024* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6:9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  6. Ask for forgiveness and forgive others. Matthew 6:12 We are prone to fall into sin which damages our relationship with God and we constantly need to restore that relationship through forgiveness. We should forgive others in the same way that we seek forgiveness from God according to Matthew 6:14-15. Those who themselves know how to forgive will be more open to forgiveness from God and others. *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

In faith ask for all the provision needed

*15/09/2024* *THIRD SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6:9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  5. In faith, ask for all the provision needed  Matthew 6:11 Daily bread is a reminder of God's daily supply of manna to Israel in the wilderness. We are supposed to ask God for our daily bread, that is, for material provisions. *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

In faith desire the kingdom of God in all areas of this world

*11/09/2024* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6:9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  4. In faith desire the kingdom of God in all areas of this world. Matthew 6:10 God's kingdom is already established in Jesus and wherever his followers are, but we are still to pray for the day when the whole world will acknowledge his rule. The will of God is something we will pray to see followed perfectly by all people. Listen for direction from the Holy Spirit. *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

He is to be thanked and praised

*08/09/2024* *SECOND SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6:9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  3. He is to be thanked and praised. Matthew 6:9 God's name should always be held in honour and not used casually. In praying *hallowed be your name*, we are asking that we, Jesus' followers, will treat his name as holy, and cause it to be treated like that by others. Using God's name in any other way is wrong. God's name is not a swear word or an exclamation mark. We must use it with awe and reverence, despite the intimacy of our relationship. *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

He is our Father in heaven

*04/09/2024* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6:9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  2. He is our Father in heaven  Matthew 6:9 The Fatherhood of God was very dear to Jewish thought according to Deuteronomy 32:6; Isaiah 63:16; 64:8. The Jews, however, did not use the term *Abba (Daddy)* that Jesus was in Mark 14:36. Christians adopted *Abba*, which expresses an especially close relationship, as the way to address God in prayer according to Romans 8:15. *We should approach God with the confidence of a small child approaching his or her father* Human parents sometimes neglect their children, but God never does. But intimacy is not the same as disrespect. *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

Our prayer is to God alone

*01/09/2024* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Matthew 6:9-13 OUTLINE OF A PRAYER GIVEN BY JESUS  1. Our prayer is to God alone. Matthew 6:9 Most prayers in the Bible start with an address to God. Daniel 9:4 Nehemiah 1:5 Both Daniel and Nehemiah start their prayers with some aspect of God, which becomes the focus of the prayer and from which other issues arise. Jesus does the same in this prayer, in which he addresses God as Our Father in heaven. *Remind yourself of who God is* *©2024* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*
