The psalmist is confident that God has a particular interest in his every pain, even his every tear. He also knows the great truth that comes from the meaning of God's name, *that the Lord is for us*


1 John 5:14; Hebrews 10:19-22

Unlike the Israelites, who approached God at Mount Sinai with fear and trembling according to Exodus 20:18-21, *believers can approach God with boldness*

Hebrews 3:6; 4:16; 10:35

because we possess Christ's righteousness and not our own.
