Rome defeated Greece and establish itself as the fourth world empire.

Daniel 2:40-43; 7:17

*The fourth empire - the legs of iron (Daniel 2:33) is the only one not identified within the Book of Daniel*

Rome is the most likely choice, for it succeeded Greece.

The empire is as strong as iron. The focus shifts from the value of the metals to their comparative strength.

*The Roman Empire will one-day be revived (Daniel 2:41), will be ruled over by ten rulers*
