Exodus 3:3-6


The ground had become holy; it was set apart by the divine presence.

Moses recalled this vivid memory of the experience with God at the end of his life in Deuteronomy 33:16.

*God identified Himself as the God of your father - the God worshipped by Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Exodus 3:15). In announcing these names, the Lord was assuring Moses that His covenant with the fathers of Israel was still in effect*
