Malachi 3:1-7; 4:5-6

Revelation 11:1-14


*"The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts "*

Haggai 2:9


Revival is a spiritual awakening usually at a time when majority have turned their back to God.

Revival renews the power and glory of God in a community.

At a time when people have lost direction and the compass of their destiny is lost; God sends his servant to bring His people back on course and prepare them for His visitation.

Before judgment, there is a call to awakening lost souls.

Revival is a grace time of mercy before the judgment of God.

There are different records of revival in the Bible.

In the days of Noah

Genesis 6:5-22

Abraham

Genesis 12:1-6

Moses

Exodus 3:7-11

Jonah

Jonah 3:1-3

Josiah

2 Kings 22:8-13

John the Baptist

Matthew 3:1-12

Apostles of Christ

Acts 5:12-16

The first coming of Jesus Christ was preceded by the ministry of John the Baptist; interpreted Elijah.

According to the Book of Revelation 11:1-14, the final revival before the White Throne Judgment would be preceded by the ministry of the two witnesses; interpreted Elijah.


The final revival would be Elijahs'

*What are the characteristics of the ministry of Elijah?*

1. He was sent to Israel 

(The Church)

1 Kings 19:10

2. He reconciles the fathers to the children

Malachi 4:6

3. He commands the rain

1 Kings 17:1

4. He raises the dead

1 Kings 17:17-24

5. He rebukes King Ahab's ungodliness

1 Kings 18:1-19

6. He has absolute courage, trust and faith in God

1 Kings 18:20-40

7. He prays

1 Kings 18:41-46

8. He never saw death

1 Kings 2:10-11


*What the final revival would do?*

1. Restore sanity and morality in the church

2. It would unite the church

Acts 2:1

3. Prepare the church for the second coming of the Lord
