The phrase *house of David* is a substitute term for the King of Judah, Ahaz.

This phrase recalls *the Lord's eternal covenant with David in which He promised to give His servant an eternal seed, throne and Kingdom*

2 Samuel 7:16

Psalms 89:19-37

The prophet was speaking to *the royal family and the nation*

*Believe* and *established* are a play on the same Hebrew word from which we get our word *amen*

*Believing entails having knowledge of God's Word, accepting that it is true, and placing our trust in the Lord to help us keep it*

*Believing the Lord is the key to receiving His promises*
