The royal psalm, focuses on the coming glorious reign of the Lord's Messiah.

The author is anonymous in the Hebrew text, but the New Testament apostles assign it to David.

This psalm should be read in conjunction with Psalms 110. *Both psalms point prophetically to the coming rule of Jesus*
