MAJOR OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES OF THE MESSIAH


Genesis 12:3

*God called Abram to be the first ancestor of an entire nation*. *And this nation will be larger than Abram expects*. *Not only will he be the human ancestor of most Jews, but he will also be the spiritual ancestor of all Christians, Jews and Muslims*. *He will this be the father in the faith for a large part of humanity*

The blessing of God on Abraham will consist of many strong descendants and possession of the *land* of Canaan.

*Abraham would be the physical ancestor of the Jews and the spiritual father of all believers, his name will be found on the lips of many*

John 8:53

Acts 7:2

Galatians 3:6-9

*All peoples on earth will be blessed through Abraham make it clear that God's blessings are not for keeping to himself but are to be used to bless others*

Supremely, this will take place when his descendant who will be the Saviour is born.

Galatians 4:4-5

*The salvation he offers will not belong to any nation as the early Jewish Christians had to learn, but will be passed on by and through one nation in Jesus the Messiah*
