It appears that these night visions came in the course of a single night.

The *lampstand of solid gold* would remind the people of the lampstand in the tabernacle and the temple.

*The rebuilding of the temple, which had at last begun in earnest (Ezra 5:1,2; Haggai 1:14), would be accomplished not by human strength or resources, but by the power of God's Spirit*
