2 Kings 5:1-27

Naaman told the king of Aram about what the girl had told him, and was sent off to Samaria to look for healing.

He took princely gifts with him - 750 pounds (340 kilograms) of silver, 150 pounds (70 kilograms) of gold, and ten sets of clothing - as well as a letter addressed to the King of Israel. 2 Kings 5:4-6

Exodus 14:21-22 Ominously for the Egyptians, this is the same wind that had brought the avery of locusts at the time of the eighth plague (Exodus 10:13). At the end of the plague, God had hurled the locusts into the Red Sea so that ‘not a locust was left’ according to Exodus 10:19. He must, however, have already been well known in Israel at the time he appeared to announce the judgment of God for the sins of Ahab and Israel (1 Kings 17:1). The judgment was that there would be no rain or dew for some years as a punishment for the sins mentioned in the previous verses. Elijah must not be thought of as similar to African rainmakers. Stopping or making rain was not his main work.
