God’s miracles glorify Him yet some will not believe 

John 12:37

Jesus is about to end his public ministry and focus on his final instructions to his twelve disciples. Before he does so, John presents a brief report on the state of Jesus’ mission.

The Jews had seen or heard of the many signs that Jesus had done in Judea and Galilee. John has not recorded all of the signs according to John 20:30 and John 2:23, but he has given details of seven of them: the changing of water into wine, the healing of a royal official’s son, the healing of a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years, the feeding of more than five thousand people, the walking on water, the healing of the man who was born blind and the raising of Lazarus. Yet despite all these signs, the Jews as a group in general still would not believe in him.

*31/12/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - God provides for the needs of all XII Psalms 23:1-6; 147:1-9 1 Peter 5:6-7 Matthew 5:46; 6:25-34 Acts 14:17 Worry does not advance one’s cause at all; it cannot according to Matthew 6:27-28. It is absolutely useless. It can take up so much of one’s energy that one is paralyzed and cannot act. We need to recognize that while the necessities of life, like clothes, are important, they are not to become an all-consuming passion. Solomon’s wardrobe fades into insignificance beside the simple beauty of a flower according to Matthew 6:29. A flower has a very short lifespan, but God fills it with beauty in spite of this. However, it is also possible that those words outline the first step in creation, with the words *in the beginning* being equivalent to "first".
