God provides for the needs of all III

*30/11/2025* *ANOINTING HEALING AND COMMUNION SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - God provides for the needs of all III  Psalms 23:1-6; 147:1-9 1 Peter 5:6-7 Matthew 5:45; 6:25-34 Acts 14:17 *The valley of the shadow of death* can refer to any distressing time in our lives. The awareness of our own mortality often comes with sickness, trials and hardship. But the Lord, our Protector can lead us through these dark and difficult valleys to eternal life with Him. There is no need to fear death’s power (1 Corinthians 15:25-27). *You are with me*: The Good Shepherd is with us even in what seem the most difficult and troubling situations. *Your rod and Your staff*: Ancient shepherds used the rod and staff to rescue, protect and guide the sheep. Thus, they become symbols of the Good Shepherd’s loving care over His flock. The sheep are not alone; their Shepherd is standing over them, guiding them into safety- just as the Lord stands over us and pro...

God provides for the needs of all II

For this reason, the sheep know the Shepherd and are known by Him ( John 10:14) *For His name’s sake*: The loving actions of the Shepherd proceed from His nature. God provides for the needs of all

*23/11/2025* *FOURTH SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - God provides for the needs of all  Psalms 23:1-6 Psalms 147:1-9 1 Peter 5:6-7 Matthew 5:45 Matthew 6:25-34 Acts 14:17 *The LORD is my shepherd*: The word pictures David uses for God come from his own life and experience. He had been a shepherd in his youth (1 Samuel 16:19). Any disturbance or intruder scares sheep. They are very fearful animals and cannot lie down unless they feel totally secure. *green pasture*: David uses eloquent language to express his view of the abundant care God gives to His people. *still waters*: Sheep are afraid of fast flowing streams. God’s provision of still waters has a soothing effect and calms the sheep. *C2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria R* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

We live because of God’s continued provision of life

*19/11/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - We live because of God’s continued provision of life  Psalms 36:6 *great mountains…..great deep:* The contrasts continue with David ranging from the highest mountains to the depths of the sea to describe the perfect character of God. The height of the great mountains can be compared to how great God’s righteousness is; the depth of the seas can be compared with how mysterious and inaccessible God’s true judgments are. Like Paul in Romans 11:33-36, the psalmist struggles to find words to describe the love, faithfulness, righteousness and justice of God. Like Jacob, we may be unaware of God’s presence II

*16/11/2025* *THIRD SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - Like Jacob, we may be unaware of God’s presence II Genesis 28:16 Rebekah had promised that she would send word for him to come back (Genesis 27:45), but he had no guarantee that this could happen - until he learned that the Lord of history was in charge of his movements and was committed to bringing him back. *The Lord does not promise him that he will not suffer hardship, but does guarantee that no amount of difficulty or frustration will ever prevent the Lord from fulfilling his promises and carrying out his plans* The Lord’s appearance in this dream was so real and dramatic that Jacob know beyond doubt that this had been no ordinary dream, but that he had truly seen the Lord (Genesis 28:16). *C2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria R* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

Like Jacob, we may be unaware of God’s presence

*12/11/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - Like Jacob, we may be unaware of God’s presence  Genesis 28:16 God’s words so far have also been spoken to Abraham and Isaac, but now God speaks specifically to assure Jacob of his presence and protection according to Genesis 28:15. He will have the comfort of knowing that God says, *I am with you*. As he sets out alone on a long journey into the unknown, God promises to be a watchman for him wherever you go. Not only that, but he is given a guarantee that he will return to the land he is leaving, for that is where his inheritance lies. *C2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria R* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

He cares especially for believers

*09/11/2025* *SECOND SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - He cares especially for believers  Hebrews 13:5 The Jewish believers are cautioned to keep their lives free from the love of money and be satisfied with what they have (Hebrews 13:5-6). The writer of Hebrews quotes Deuteronomy 31:6 and Psalms 118:6-7, to reassure them of the Lord’s ability to help and protect them in times of need. *C2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria R* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

He is near to all of us

*05/11/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - He is near to all of us  Acts 17:27-28 All people are equal before God, and the differences between language and cultures were part of his plan. God’s chief aim in making these arrangements was to encourage all people to seek him according to Acts 17:27. The altar dedicated to the UNKNOWN GOD is evidence of this desire. And yet, God is not far from us, since *in him we live and move and have our being* according to Acts 17:28. Then Paul quotes Athenian poets, acknowledging their work and using it as a bridge to declare the gospel truth that we are his offspring. *C2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria R* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

God sustains all things by His Word IV

*02/11/2025* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* TOPIC: *WHAT DOES GOD DO?* CONTINUING PROVISION AND PRESENCE  - God sustains all things by His Word IV Hebrews 1:3 Besides being our creator, Christ is also our priest who provided purification for sins (Hebrews 1:3c) Now he is sitting as our king, in the place of honour at the right side of the majestic God in heaven because his work is finished (Hebrews 1:3d). Jesus as God, creator, priest and king can in no doubt mean he is superior to all prophets. Thus any message coming from him must be superior, that is, more complete and final, than any message God has sent in the past. There is no greater messenger of the word than the Son of God, who is himself the Word of God. *Tithes & Offering* Genesis 14:18-20 Account name:  *The Ecumenican Church* Account number: 2280020397 Banker: *Eco Bank Nig.
