*UNIQUENESS AND ONENESS OF GOD*

 - one God 

1 Corinthians 8:4

1 Timothy 2:5

The Corinthian believers who claimed to have knowledge readily admitted that *an idol is nothing* according to Isaiah 37:19; Jeremiah 16:20 and Galatians 4:8.

And that there is only one God according to Deuteronomy 6:4.

But Paul did not dismiss the idea of idols altogether because though these god's are not real, they exist in the minds of those who worship them.

1 Corinthians 10:20

The Greeks believed in many gods and the Corinthians were right to assert that all these 'gods' and 'lords' are false because there is only one God and only one Lord.

*Paul strongly affirms that God the Father is the creator of everything and the one served by those who have been redeemed and that Christ is the one through whom creation took place*

1 Corinthians 8:5-6

We oppose the saints of God

 *27/10/2024* *ANOINTING HEALING AND COMMUNION SERVICE* TOPIC: *PRAYER* Text: Genesis 4:26 Philippians 4:6-7 *HINDRANCES TO PRAYERS BEING HEARD OR ANSWERED  5. We oppose the saints of God  Psalms 18:40-41 Micah 3:2-4 God gives David strength to complete the battle against his enemies. God Himself is a Warrior  (Exodus 15:3) and He outfits His servants for battle. Apparently in the extremes of battle, the enemies of David found no help from their gods, so they screamed aloud to David's God for deliverance. But God would not answer them. There is only one prayer from the wicked to which He gladly listens - the prayer of repentance.  Micah used an image of barbaric cannibalism to describe the horrendous actions of the leaders against the people.
