He is the giver of eternal life

*30/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *ANOINTING HEALING AND COMMUNION SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - He is the giver of eternal life. Revelation 21:6 *It is done* echoes the voice from the throne in Revelation 16:17 that proclaims the completion of God's wrath being poured out on Babylon. Here the completion of the new creation by Him who is *the Alpha and the Omega* of all things is the focus. *Water of life* recalls Jesus' references to living water in John 4:14; 7:38, in connection with eternal life and life in the Holy Spirit. This water is further described in Revelation 22:1. A similar offer of God's grace *to him who* spiritually *thirsts* is repeated in Revelation 22:17 *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powe...

He is the giver of the born-again life II

*26/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - He is the giver of the born-again life II John 3:6 1 Corinthians 15:45 The first man Adam became a living being according to 1 Corinthians 15:45 and Genesis 2:7 but the last Adam (Christ) became a Life-giving spirit. The first Adam (natural) came before the second Adam (spiritual). The contrast is not between a material body and an immaterial body, but between a body subject to death and a body that is immortal. The Greek term translated *spiritual* here refers to a body directed by the Spirit, as opposed to one dominated by the flesh  1 Corinthians 2:15; 10:4 *First man and second Man* contrasts the sinful nature that every person inherits with the righteous nature that comes through Christ. *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+23480523...

He is the giver of the born-again life

*23/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *FOURTH SUNDAY SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - He is the giver of the born-again life. John 3:6 1 Corinthians 15:45 Jesus states that this 'new birth ' involves being born of water and the Spirit. John 3:5-7 There is some debate about what exactly this means, but Jesus is probably referring to John the Baptist's water baptism and his own baptism with the Holy Spirit. John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He called people to leave their old ways of life in preparation for the coming of Jesus. Luke 3:7-14 Jesus' baptism with the Holy Spirit according to John 1:33 brings a newness of character and the energy to move on as a member of the family of God. *Flesh cannot be made into spirit. He is the giver of natural life

*19/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - He is the giver of natural life. Genesis 2:7 The man was like the rest of creation in being formed of the dust of the ground, but what made him different from the rest of creation was the breath of life from God that entered the formed dust. This breath transformed the dust into a human being created in the image of God. The word 'breath' can also be translated as 'spirit'. It is the spirit of God that places human beings in a living relationship with the Creator and makes all the difference between them and other creatures. That is why the Spirit is given anew to those who turn to Christ and receive forgiveness for their sins. He is the fountain of life

*16/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *THIRD SUNDAY SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - He is the fountain of life. Psalms 36:9 Jeremiah 17:13 God's salvation and continuing mercy to His people are often described in terms of Life-giving water. Isaiah 12:3 Jeremiah 2:13 The Hebrew poets often associate water with salvation. Exodus 17:1-7 In an arid land, the provision of wells and springs was regarded as a divine gift. Isaiah 55:1 There is only one source of life and hope for Israel and all nations - the *LORD, the fountain of living waters.* *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

the Father has life in Himself, so also the Son

*12/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - the Father has life in Himself, so also the Son John 5:26 The Son is the source of life. Christ can give life because He Himself possess life. He not only has a part in giving it, He is the source of it. This is another testimony to Jesus' deity, because only God has life in Himself. *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

In the beginning God

*09/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *SECOND SUNDAY SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - In the beginning God  Genesis 1:1 John 1:1 Genesis 1:1 starts with the moment of creation and moves forward to the creation of humanity. John 1:1 starts with creation and contemplates eternity past. The fact that *the Word was with God* suggests a face-to-face relationship. In the ancient world, it was important that persons of equal station be on the same level, or face-to-face, when sitting across from one another. Thus the word with indicates a personal relationship, but also implies equal status. The Word, Jesus Christ Himself, is an active Person in communication with the Father (1 John 1:2). Moreover, *the Word was God*. The word order in Greek shows that the Word was "God", not "a god". This is a straightforward declaration of Christ's deity, since John uses Word ...

SELF-EXISTENT

*05/03/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SELF-EXISTENT*  - In the beginning God Genesis 1:1 John 1:1 *In the beginning* is a thesis statement, which can be paraphrased, "Here is the story of God's creation of the heavens and the earth". John 1:1 speaks of a time that predates Genesis 1:1, but no information is given here on what happened before this time. It is possible that the rise, rebellion and judgment of Satan transpired before these events. In chapter 3, Satan has already fallen ( he tempts Eve in the guise of the serpent), and Genesis 6:1-4 speaks of angels who are already fallen. Furthermore, God's angels already have been created according to Genesis 3:24. In chapter 1 the focus is on the creation of the material world - the heavens and the earth. *Tithes & Offering* Genesis 14:18-20 Account name:  *The Ecumenican Church* Acc...

thus spiritual rebirth necessary

*02/03/2025* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *SPIRIT - GOD IS A SPIRIT* - thus spiritual rebirth necessary II John 3:3-8 1 Corinthians 15:50 Nicodemus takes the words as applying to the physical realm: *How can a man be born when he is old?* ( John 3:4a). In response, Jesus states that this 'new birth ' involves being born of water and the Spirit (John 3:5-7). Jesus is probably referring to John the Baptist's water baptism and his own baptism with the Holy Spirit. John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He called people to leave their old ways of life in preparation for the coming of Jesus according to Luke 3:7-14. Jesus' baptism with the Holy Spirit according to John 1:33 brings a newness of character and the energy to move on as a member of the family of God. *The new birth is like the wind.
