Isaiah 47:1

Psalms 44:25

The wicked among the Israelites would grovel in the dust before the righteous Lord.

Lofty looks are the outer manifestation of proud hearts.

The refrain *the LORD alone shall be exalted* highlights the theme of this prophecy and describes *the coming, glorious revelation of the risen and exalted Saviour King*

*In that day* the Saviour will be exalted above all other proud contenders.
