In other words, God’s very substance, his divine being, is embodied in Christ. That is why Jesus could say, ‘Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father’ (John 14:9). He is the word of God who became flesh and lived among human beings. More than that, he created all things according to Hebrews 1:2. He is also not merely a pale imitation of his father, as a human ruler’s son may be. Such images do not deserve worship. When the truth about God is suppressed, the truth that human beings are made in the image of God is also suppressed. Then people start to behave wickedly towards one another. Romans 1:20-25 Creation is powerful evidence of the existence of a Maker. While natural revelation does not provide the same depth of knowledge of God that special revelation provides through the Scriptures, it still plainly demonstrates God’s eternal power and divine nature (Romans 1:19-20). This evidence has been available to be seen and understood by all since the creation of the world. There is constant worship day and night. The elders *cast their crowns before the throne*, symbolising the willingness surrender of their authority in light of the worthiness of God as Creator.
