one God III

*30/04/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *UNIQUENESS AND ONENESS OF GOD* - one God III 1 Corinthians 8:4 1 Timothy 2:5 The *one* Mediator is *the Man Christ Jesus* according to Hebrews 9:11-15. There is only one way to Him, through the Mediator, Christ Jesus, who has the full nature of God and the full nature of man. Christ has identified with us; He understands us perfectly and represents us at the right hand of God the Father according to Romans 8:34. *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.blogspot.com* *#ECN Ibadan #* Powered by *JDIS*

one God II

*27/04/2025* *ANOINTING HEALING AND COMMUNION SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *UNIQUENESS AND ONENESS OF GOD* - one God II 1 Corinthians 8:4 1 Timothy 2:5 *One God* is a central truth of the Hebrew Scriptures. The only living God desires all to be saved. He is the only One to whom our prayers should be addressed. *Mediator* is a concept derived from the ceremonial worship prescribed in the Old Testament. In the tabernacle and later in the temple, the priests mediated between God and the Israelites by offering animal sacrifices to atone for the sins of the people and by interceding to God for the nation. In their position as mediators, the priests were the only ones eligible to enter the Holy Place, the place where God had made His presence known. *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+2348052366039* Email: *johnifesanya@gmail.com* *www.johnifesanya.bl...

one God

*23/04/2025* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *UNIQUENESS AND ONENESS OF GOD*  - one God  1 Corinthians 8:4 1 Timothy 2:5 The Corinthian believers who claimed to have knowledge readily admitted that *an idol is nothing* according to Isaiah 37:19; Jeremiah 16:20 and Galatians 4:8. And that there is only one God according to Deuteronomy 6:4. But Paul did not dismiss the idea of idols altogether because though these god's are not real, they exist in the minds of those who worship them. 1 Corinthians 10:20 The Greeks believed in many gods and the Corinthians were right to assert that all these 'gods' and 'lords' are false because there is only one God and only one Lord. *Paul strongly affirms that God the Father is the creator of everything and the one served by those who have been redeemed and that Christ is the one through whom creation took place* 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 *©2025...

VICTORY OVER DEATH

*20/04/2025* *2025 EASTER SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *VICTORY OVER DEATH* O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? 1 Corinthians 15:55 Text: Genesis 2:7, 17; 3:19 John 11:17-44 Acts 2:24 1 Corinthians 15: 12-58 In Genesis 2:7, the word *formed* is the term for a potter's shaping of pots. Since man is made from the dust, that is where he returns when he dies. Although God created light with a mere word, He created man by fashioning a body out of mud and clay, transforming the clay into something new, and then breathing life into it. This breath maybe the way of describing the infusion of the human spirit, with its moral, intellectual, relational and spiritual capacities. *History of death* - Foretold by God as a consequence of disobedience  Genesis 2:17; 3:3 - Brought into the world through man's disobedience  Genesis 3:19; Romans 5:12 - All people will die  Hebrews 9:27 - Christ Jesus conquered death  Romans 6:9; Revelation 1:18 - All shall be ...

none before and none after II

*16/04/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *MID WEEK SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *UNIQUENESS AND ONENESS OF GOD*  - none before and none after II Isaiah 43:10-13 Revelation 1:8 Christ introduces himself as the Alpha and the Omega according to Revelation 1:8, referring to the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The meaning is the same as that of 'the First and the Last ' in Revelation 1:17, and 'the Beginning and the End' in Revelation 21:6 and Revelation 22:13. Only the book of Revelation refers to God, the Lord Jesus Christ, in this way. God wanted us to be encouraged by knowing that God, who knows all things from the beginning to the end, is the absolute source of all creation and history. *Nothing lies outside him, just as no other letter of the Greek alphabet lay outside the Alpha and Omega*. He is the Lord God of all and is continually present to his people as the Al...

He again applies the test set out in Isaiah 41:21-23, and triumphantly demonstrates that he alone can predict an event and cause it to happen. Isaiah 43:9 There can be no doubt that he alone is the true God, the first and eternal and all-powerful being. Isaiah 43:10-13 Isaiah 41:4 Isaiah 41:24-29 The people of Israel had witnessed the great works of God in their midst. the Lord is one

Moses emphasizes the theme that *the living God is the only one there is* Deuteronomy 4:39; 5:7; 6:4; 32:39 The *Hear, O Israel* verse of Deuteronomy 6:4 is commonly called the Shema ( from a Hebrew word meaning " to hear") and is repeated by Jews the world over as expressing the essence of their faith in God. *©2025* *Ecumenican Church Nigeria ®* Instagram: *@ecumenicanchurch* WhatsApp/Telegram: *+234805...

the "only God" II

*06/04/2025* *40 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* THEME: *THE NATURE OF GOD* (Hebrew pl.'elohim) Text: Genesis 1:1,26 Deuteronomy 7:9 Isaiah 45:18 TOPIC: *UNIQUENESS AND ONENESS OF GOD*  - the "only God" II John 5:44 Jude 25 Jude concludes his letter with exuberant praise for the Lord, who alone could keep from being deceived. *Stumbling* refers to the possibility of being tripped up by false teachers' errors. Note that Jude does not use the word falling, but stumbling. Only a person who is already walking or running (frequent biblical images of the Christian life) can stumble. Galatians 5:7 1 Thessalonians 4:1 Hebrews 12:1 1 John 2:6 God is able to keep us from stumbling. Psalms 37:23,24 Psalms 121:3 Proverbs 4:11,12 He guards us in this life, despite all the dangers and pitfalls that deceivers put in our way. *Faultless* is a Greek word used of sacrificial animals that had no blemish and thus were fit to be offered to God. Only God can save us, clea...
