But the striking way in which God manifests himself here demonstrates that he would direct everything and that he would do so perfectly without being subject to human constraints. God is going to demonstrate his omnipotence. Once Moses’ curiosity attracts him to the bush, God calls him twice by name from within the bush (Exodus 3:4a). The call is specific and insistent. Moses responds with *Here I am* (Exodus 3:4b).
