Are You Saved? Do You Know?

*29/05/2022* *ANOINTING HEALING AND COMMUNION SERVICE* TOPIC: *Are You Saved?* *Do You Know?* Text: St. John 3:1-8 NKJV How often have you felt a quiet uneasiness about your life? A feeling that something is missing, but you are not sure what it is, a longing to be happy, to feel at rest? Do you know that the Bible teaches that *all men are born in sin* and are naturally inclined to do evil? Thus all men are in a lost state and condition. "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way" Isaiah 53:6 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness" Mark 7:21-22 Psalms 51:5 Do you know that the Bible teaches that God's plan of salvation is very simple and effective? "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28 "For God so

WORLD PEACE IV

*25/05/2022* *2022 NIGERIA PEACE PRAYER PROJECT* *MID-WEEK SERVICE* TOPIC: *WORLD PEACE IV* Text: Isaiah 2:1-4 NKJV *The Early Church Lived and Taught the Way of Peace* Stephen, the first Christian martyr, was a devoted believer in Jesus. He openly spoke of the peaceful kingdom that Jesus established. The religious leaders accused him of blasphemy and in their anger cast him out of the city. As he was being stoned to death, he kept his integrity and without retaliation demonstrated the way of peace and forgiveness. Acts 7:60 records, "And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep (in death)". The Apostle Paul writes, " Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will r

Romans 11:29 Numbers 23:19 " Familiarity breeds contempt " is a famous English saying, It means that when people know someone well, they no longer regard that person as worthy of respect or honour. Many tourists pay a great deal of money to visit the spectacular Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Yet millions of Zambians and Zimbabweans have never taken the trouble to visit one of the seven natural wonders of the world right there on their doorstep. Jesus was gaining a reputation as an effective itinerant preacher and faith healer, a rabbi with

The Lost Sheep II

*15/05/2022* *THIRD SUNDAY SERVICE* TOPIC: *The Lost Sheep II* Text: St. Luke 15:4-6 NKJV *The Searching Shepherd* When the shepherd realized the sheep was missing, he shut the gate to the sheepfold, took his staff and returned to the mountain. The shepherd also faced the storm and the darkness. He was hungry, wet and cold. He was tired, but persistently continued to search. Night fell upon a dreadful scene. The sheep was caught by thorns near the edge of the cliff. He was bleeding, exhausted and surrounded by wolves. *The Sheep Is Rescued* The shepherd heard and came quickly! Fearlessly he faced the wolves and drove them away. He went to his crying sheep and gently pulled him out of the thorns and away from the edge of the cliff. He bathed his wounds and applied healing ointment. Then he took him in his arms and tenderly carried him home.*The lost sheep had been found* "So will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them" Ezekiel 34:12 *We are all like the lost sheep. Jesus,

The shepherd watched over the sheep, protected them, and then led them back to the safety of the valley before darkness fell. When they reached the sheepfold, the careful shepherd counted the sheep as they went through the gate. *"Then said Jesus ... Repentance - Door of Mercy II

*01/05/2022* *THANKSGIVING SERVICE* TOPIC: *Repentance - Door of Mercy II* Text: Matthew 3:2; 4:17 Acts 3:19 *Jesus Opens the Door* While it is true God has decreed a judgment of death upon sin, He is also a God of love - "God is love" (1 John 4:16). God loves you even if you are living in sin. His love has made a way for you to be saved (John 3:16). God will carry out His judgment on sin, and if this justice would be meted  out to man, he would instantly  die. Therefore God, not willing that any should perish, sent His son Jesus to take the penalty of our sins that we may live. Jesus was now made sin in our place, and to satisfy the judgment of God, He was crucified on a cross. He endured the pain and agony, and then died. Our sins were paid. *Repentance, Our Part* Acts 2:23 Luke 18:13 Matthew 11:28 1 John 4:19 Will you look to Jesus, the One who was crucified, and acknowledge your sin? Repentance is wrought by God in the heart of all those who will come to Him. Then your h
